Izotope Rx De Reverb Plugin

VP17 has 2 audio plugins to 'add' reverb, but none AFAIK to 'remove' echo. The only de-reverb plugin I am aware of is one that comes with iZotope's RX Standard or Advanced (now at version 7 though I have version 6). I don't think the de-reverb plug-in comes with RX Elements, but is included in RX Standard unfortunately at the substantial cost of $399 USD (could be less if offered as part of the upcoming Black Friday event).

Izotope Rx De Reverb Plugin

Installed: Vegas Pro 16 Edit, Vegas Pro 17 Edit, Vegas Pro 18, Vegas Pro 19 Edit, Vegas Pro 20 Edit, HitFilm Pro 2021.3, BCC 2023, Mocha Pro 2022.5.1, Ignite Pro, NBFX TotalFX 7, Neat NR, DVD Architect 6.0, MAGIX Travel Maps, Sound Forge Pro 16, SpectraLayers Pro 9, iZotope RX10 Advanced and many other iZ plugins, Vegasaur 4.0

RX Elements is a budget-friendly noise reduction and audio repair toolkit for content creators who need the basics. It includes the brand-new Repair Assistant plug-in, as well as five essential real-time noise reduction plug-ins to fix clipping, hum, clicks, and other unwanted background noise like amp hiss, air conditioning, and even reverb. Repair Assistant uses the digital signal processing of RX to analyze your audio and provide solutions that quickly correct the most common issues. Get the same tools the pros use at an unbelievable price.

The purpose of Repair Assistant is to automatically identify typical audio issues within a recording and recommend appropriate adjustments for fixing them. The RX Audio Editor has a module for Repair Assistant, and the plugin is compatible with other modules. Experience-wise, the Repair Assistant Plugin is quite similar to the Audio Editor; the main difference is that the plugin analyzes audio as it is being played rather than all at once.

With de-reverb, you can adjust how much room sound is included in a recording. It can transform massive churches into intimate concert halls and make open recording spaces sound like you modified them for vocals. When applying de-reverb, the signal is altered based on reverberant to direct energy ratio. It can analyze your music and make educated guesses about frequency and decay time.

A clip, or numerous clips, can be sent to the RX 10 standalone application for editing and repair via the RX Connect plugin. As a result, you may use the offline processing and graphical user interface that are hallmarks of RX 10, which are now easily accessible in a centralized location.

Audio restoration involves specific processes for different issues. Spectral filtering is the most common technique many audio restoration programs use to remove noise, pops, sibilance, reverb, etc. Similarly, other methods include modifying harmonics, formant-shifting, duplicating adjacent waveforms, etc.

As you can see, there are many types of audio restoration plugins available nowadays. Some are suited for a specific purpose, whereas others are suited for another. So, the best way to select one is to recognize what you need first.

Hum is a very common problem in home recording studios, and can be caused by multiple different sources. Some preventative measures you can take include using one outlet for your gear, using balanced cables, isolators, ferrite chokes, and filters. If none of these solutions fix your problem, consider reaching for restoration plugins.

You can make use of natural reverb by recording in a colorful space. To do this, close-mic the sound source you want to capture and then place a room microphone further away. When mixing, you can adjust the level of the recording captured through the room mic to apply more or less reverb to your mix.

There are a lot of audio editors, and plugins that don't compare to Acoustica's tools. The de-noise is one of the cleanest I've heard, and used. And, the algorithms used to separate stems, and detect unwanted hum/background noise are scarily good.

In my opinion this is where Acon Digital Acoustica really shines. The algorithms in these plugins are very good at detecting what they're supposed to, and nipping it in the bud, without really having to touch the controls.

Premium is of course the better audio editor, and is definitely worth the extra money. The spectral editing and De-Noise plugin alone will greatly enhance your audio, not to mention the other benefits.

These are incredible plugins, they come as VST, VST3, AAX or AU and in 32-bit + 64-bit downloads. This means you can use them inside your DAW, away from the standalone software, if you have a proffered workstation.

I feel like a de-esser tool could be added to make it a bit more of an all in one package for vocals. Although you can add your own plugins in, it would be nice to have an Acon Digital tool to add to the collection here.

For the Advanced package, the Leveler and Azimuth modules are gems for post-production and restoration tasks respectively. Nestled between all these is the third-party plugin host that brings VST and AU collections.

Further to this is a new mode for Ambience Match (Advanced) which allows noise environments to be applied to recordings, ie ADR or dialogue cleaned up with Dialogue Isolate/De-reverb, to maintain continuity. The new mode takes the static learned-loop basis and adds Movement and Randomness controls to mitigate overt repetition in complex backgrounds that may contain audible cues. Adding a threshold for the ambience learning also aids screening for foreground audio events that can cause a loop to be identified.

For the all-important workflow, the Module Chain remains a great way to transport complex renderings across selections and files, while the batch processing is a now finely honed system for bigger jobs. Many of the modules are also installed as plugins, such as De-clip, De-click and De-hum, for tasks that are easier kept in the DAW, though the RX Connect plugin can also send an audio clip on a round trip via the main app for access to full repair shop.

Used on countless albums, movies, and TV shows to restore audio from problematic to pristine condition, RX 10 Standard is a complete toolkit for audio cleanup. Find and repair issues with the new Repair Assistant plugin, instantly remove hum and interference with dynamic De-hum, rebalance your mix and create stems with Music Rebalance, and clean up unwanted sounds directly in Logic using the Spectral Editor built on ARA. Use the Standalone audio editor or as plugins inside your favourite DAW or NLE to surgically improve any recording.

I have a M1 Mac and run Monterey, What worked for me was downloading the original izotope Rx 9 advanced from the izotope website in trial mode. Then download this 9.2.0 version. Don t re-install but just replace components and standalone app and then run the code from above in the terminal.
